Presidents Drinks

At the President’s Christmas drinks, President John White stood up to address everyone and in doing so brought to fruition the long-planned award of a Paul Harris Fellowship to Brian Henesy.

Both John and William Stevens [both PHF’s] gave testimonials about Brian, with William giving a resume of Brian’s 25 years with Rotary.

“He recounted various activities that Brian had been involved in, that he had been a Committee Chair on many occasions and a President twice. Then he mentioned that Brian had had his leg over all but one member of the club.

No, it’s nothing like what imagination might suggest – Brian had been a physio in the past and he explained afterwards how he would position a patient’s leg before a manipulation and in fact had treated most of the club at some stage whilst he was still practising.

Brian, this is truly deserved, you have been and continue to be, a wonderful example of what Rotary is about, you have a wicked sense of fun/humour and someone that anyone else would take to from the moment of meeting you.”
