Clacton Coastal Academy

Mr Marc Cologne, the Principal of Clacton Coastal Academy. Having enjoyed lunch with us, Marc went on to explain how he had taken up teaching and the path that led him to become the Principal at CCA.

CCA is the current name of the establishment, it having had various other names in the past as he explained.

He is an advocate of the saying “Every minute counts” and puts all his energy into seeing the school progress in all avenues of teaching and student development.

We thank Marc for coming to speak to us and hopefully we will be able to integrate with the Academy and bring something of Rotary to the students.

A vote of thanks was proposed by Rotarian John Holt, who actually retired from CCA in 1997 as the Head Teacher, so for him Marc’s words were a sort of revisit to his time there.
